Founder Ruth Fertel bought a steak house called Chris Steak House, honoring the previous establishment by re-christening it as Ruths Chris.

The building was once home to an early 20th-century supper club, and Arthur Henrys founders restored the abandoned building to its original glory, with many black-and-white photographs on display.
You can enjoy live music with drinks and dinner from Thursday through Sunday in the cozy, old-fashioned lounge.
Their cocktails are as unique as the dining experience.
I ordered The Black Pearl, with red wine, rum, cranberry honey, cayenne, pineapple, and citrus.
The small steakhouse menu features a short list of high-quality steak dinners that come with house-made garlic bread and salad.
I went for the classic Top Sirloin, which was delicious and very affordable.
