Perhaps growing up in Massachusetts gave brother and sister and gained an appreciation for the all American diner, a classic eatery common to folks raised in the New York tri-state area as well as New England. While several diners stay open 24/7, for many patrons diners are primarily associated for breakfast and lunch.
Building on that concept Marc and Julia had very little reservations securing the franchise rights for Eggs Up Grill in greater Summerville and North Charleston. Over the past several years theyve opened locations in Cane Bay, Knightsville, and Ladson.
Since founder Chris Skodras threw open the doors in 1997 to the very first location on Pawleys Island, Eggs Up Grill has become Americas daily breakfast kitchen for thousands of regulars in over 45 locations throughout 11 states. Eggs Up Grill, a South Carolina-based breakfast chain, is moving into the former Tidwell Jewelers site at the corner of Hampton Plaza.
The egg is almost hatched. Eggs Up Grill is coming to Greenwood.
The storefront is empty now, with clear signs of the renovation work being done inside, but the breakfast chain will move into the former Tidwell Jewelers location in Hampton Plaza, 115 Hampton Ave.
According to the Eggs Up Grill website, the Greenwood location is almost hatched, but with no indication of when it will open. Through the windows, the space is still in the middle of renovations as crews work to turn the former jewelry store space into a breakfast restaurant.
Eggs Up Grill started in 1997 in Pawleys Island. Since then, the chain has expanded across the state, with the nearest location to Greenwood being in Anderson. The chain has several locations in the Greenville-Spartanburg area, as well as Columbia, the northern part of the coast and areas north of Charleston.
Eggs Up also has locations in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida.
While the chain made its name serving casual breakfast options, it offers brunch and lunch items, takeout and catering.

This is what a fantastic restaurant experience should be. Impeccable food quality, service and the place, is spotless. Even more important is was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. The staff is just as happy…yes including the ones in the kitchen. Assume to see, great to experience this at ANY level of dinning. Congratulations…!!!!!

Pros: Always have great Omelettes, fresh fruit, and great coffee. Our server Tina, was very friendly, attentive, and observant of our table and gave great service.Cons: It takes about 30-45 minutes to get your food from the time you order so be prepared for a wait because the kitchen is slow.Over all its a great place for brunch on a day that you have some extra time!
I have eaten at eggs up grill West of the Ashley on several occasions. They are always so polite, professional and provide excellent service. I am familiar with many of the smiling faces at the grill, but I happen to know Beverly, Merline and Tina a little bit better. These ladies and the rest of the staff are remarkable and do a wonderful job. The food is also very good.Frank P.
I stopped in here before 8am on Fathers Day to grab some breakfast via an online order. Of course they were jamming already. My food wasnt quite ready yet, and I needed to head to work. The manager jumped in the kitchen and made my sandwich herself!!! I was already a huge fan of this location but now I am a LOYAL patron of your establishment. Thank you for going above and beyond!!!
