Our Baking Essential List:
- For baking casseroles, we use Glass Baking Dishes. I especially like the dishes with lids so leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don’t scratch my cookware and are super easy to clean!
- To prepare all of those ingredients a Glass Cutting Board is a must. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! They cut beautifully and with the hollow design of the knife, food doesn’t stick to the blade.

Making Grilled Egg Sandwich With Feta Cheese
To make this grilled egg sandwich youll have to start with making the eggs first
To do this, youll crumble some feta cheese and mix it in a bowl with the eggs. Then youll cook that mixture in a pan like a pancake or an omelet.
The next step is to put the omelet between two slices of bread, add some butter and then toast that bread in the pan you just used to make the eggs. You can add more cheese between the bread slices, but I found mine pretty satisfying as it was.
Once the bread is nicely browned, slice in the middle and enjoy!
As I mentioned this will not earn you healthy points, but if youre in the mood for it, now you know how to make it.

Heres How You Make Creamy Grilled Egg And Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches
So heres how this goes. You need to find some nice soft bread, and slather one side with either mayo or soft butter.
And I know right now some of you are saying WHAT? MAYO?
But if you think about it, mayo is made out of eggs and oil, which makes it a perfect coating for a grilled cheese sandwich. I promise. And I also totally understand if you want to stick with butter.
Then smoosh a little egg-sized indentation into the bread and crack an egg into it. Scatter on some shredded cheddar, top it with the other piece of bread, and cook it up in a skillet until both sides are golden.
When it comes out of the skillet it will look like any other ordinary grilled cheese sandwich
but then you cut it in half and this happens.
I know. I KNOW! And for those of you who like your eggs a little firmer, just leave it in the skillet for a few more minutes.
I think that is all I have to say about creamy grilled egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, except to reiterate that you are absolutely allowed to have them for lunch and dinner as well. Happiness!

And then theres today. Im completely and totally latefor National Grilled Cheese Day.

You can image the fun we have when we have to go to events that start a certain times.
Except not.
Can we just call it fashionably late for the sake of Im-not-sure-who-I-am-and-I-REALLY-dont-want-to-be-an-alien-because-green-isnt-my-color-so-I-need-my-abnormal-taylor-actions-justified? Great.

Scrambled Egg Grilled Cheese
A Scrambled Egg Grilled Cheese is an easy make brunch that combines two of my favorite foods. This is the ultimate breakfast sandwich, and one of my go-to breakfasts to make at home on the weekend.
This meal is part breakfast sandwich and part grilled cheese. I added scrambled eggs, mashed avocado, cheddar, bacon, tomato, and spinach all of the ingredients I like to add to a breakfast sandwich.
I like taking the time to grill the sandwich because I think that it tastes better toasted and it gets the cheese all melty and it holds everything together. The best part might be that by putting all of these ingredients into a sandwich, you get a little bit of everything in each bite.
I added a lot of ingredients. The secret to preventing the sandwich from falling apart is to add a small layer of cheese between each of the other ingredients. My sandwich started off very tall, but as the cheese melts the sandwich gets a little shorter, and easier to flip.
I used a combination of sharp cheddar cheese and butterkäse. I love the sharpness of cheddar, and the buttery taste of butterkäse and how well it melts. Together these cheese make this scrambled egg grilled cheese delicious, cheesy, and structurally sound. If you cant find butterkäse, you can use more cheddar or use another cheese that melts well, like colby or monterey jack.
If you want to add a bit of spice to this meal you can add some spicy guacamole instead of avocado, add some slices of jalapeño, or add a bit of hot sauce.
Breakfast Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Theres two things right now that I know my son will eat all day right now Grilled cheese sandwiches. Hes recently found a love for grilled cheese, and theres not a morning he wont NOT eat eggs.
So why not combine the two and make a grilled cheese breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon?
These bad boys are loaded with Colby cheddar cheese, a freshly folded and pre-cooked bacon making this a pretty simple and fast breakfast to make if you have your kitchen multi-tasking skills honed!
What really makes this grilled cheese breakfast sandwich stand on its own isnt so much the contents, but the quality of the bread.
I found this new artisan white bread at the grocery store on sale, and its so soft and butter it just melts in your mouth.
Its perfect for making grilled cheese with! So make sure not to skimp on the quality of the bread!
I made the decision to use pre-cooked bacon rather than cooking some up myself. Not so much for flavor reasonings, but to save some time.
If you have time go for it, or just make some extra with breakfast the day before, OR just by the pre-cooked stuff.
No judging here, just trying to get breakfast on the table in no time!
I cant even begin to tell how how much this grilled cheese breakfast sandwich hit the spot.
The crunchy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside texture along with the smoky flavor from the bacon really makes you just close your eyes and go ohhh yeah. Oh yeah, and the kids love it. Dont forget about that!

What The Heck Is Egg In A Hole
Egg in a hole is a breakfast recipe. You cut a hole in a slice of bread. While the bread is toasting in the pan, you break an egg into the hole and allow it to cook in the hole in the bread. Other names for the dish include bullseye eggs, eggs in a frame, gashouse eggs, gasthaus eggs, hole in one, one-eyed Jack, one-eyed Pete, pirates eye and popeye. Actually, there are more than 66 names for this dish!
I took this iconic breakfast one step further and made it into an Egg in a Hole Grilled Cheese! Yummy-yum!
I watched a lot of videos, read many recipes, and tried different techniques to give you a fail-proof way to make this sandwich. The easiest way by far is to add the egg in one slice of bread instead of both . As I said, there are almost as many different ways to make the sandwich as there is for the name of it!
The Perfect Grilled Cheese Egg Sandwich

RecipesSavoryThe perfect egg sandwich starts with fresh eggs from backyard chickens.
There are probably as many ways to make an egg sandwich as there are people who make them. But in my opinion, there is only one way to make the perfect egg sandwich.
I’ve come to this conclusion after making countless egg sandwiches over the past decade that we’ve been raising chickens
Anyway, I’ve made them on all different kinds of bread, on toast, on English muffins, and even on bagels.
But in the end, I stumbled upon this concept quite innocently, really. It’s a mashup of two simple recipes.
My normal breakfast is just coffee – and if I’m really starving, maybe a few mouthfuls of whatever leftovers I can find in the refrigerator.
But usually just a cup… or two… of coffee.
Then, a couple of hours later, after I’ve fed the chickens, checked my email, gotten dressed , I decide it’s time to eat a proper meal.
One day I couldn’t decide if I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich or an egg sandwich. I had some wonderful cheeses in the fridge, so even after I realized I couldn’t make up my mind whether I wanted a cheese sandwich or an egg sandwich, I couldn’t decide what kind of cheese to use.
So, in the end I made an egg sandwich with TWO different kinds of cheese, and then grilled it. And voila. The best ever grilled cheese egg sandwich.
And here’s the recipe.
What you Do |
Place the two slices of bread in the skillet, top each with a slice of cheese, then add a fried egg.

Tips On Making Awesome Egg Sandwiches
- Use good quality bread. It really does make a difference. Try it on hearty multi grain bread, sourdough, whole wheat bread, bagels, or split English Muffins.
- Dont skip the cheese. It brings everything together and makes it so tasty. Try different cheese like cheddar, white American, Swiss, Havarti, Pepper Jack, Colby, or Monterey Jack.
- For a change of pace top that sandwich with lettuce, arugula, tomato, onion, or mayo.
- Melted butter or mayonnaise makes the bread brown so nicely and adds fabulous flavor. You can use salted or unsalted butter.
- If you like runny yolks dont push down on the sandwich. It will all come together as everything melts and browns like an egg in a grilled cheese sandwich.
- Cover the skillet loosely with foil so the cheese melts around the egg and is ready when the bread browns.

Whats The Best Bread For Grilled Cheese
We want the outside of the bread to be nice and crusty and the insides to be gooey! Am I right?
- Grated cheese melts faster than sliced cheese. If you are using sliced cheese slice it thin.
- The right thickness of bread is important. Too thin of bread is why a grilled cheese is soggy. Too thick and the cheese wont melt.
How To Make An Egg And Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich
While your egg is cooking, layer your cheese onto the bread so its ready to go. I used cheddar since it goes so well with eggs, but you can certainly use another type if you prefer. Andy has been known to use feta cheese too.
Once the egg is done cooking, scoop it out of the pan and onto the cheese and bread. If you want to add sun dried tomatoes, now is the time to do it. Put another slice of cheese, or a layer of shredded cheese if youre using that, on top of the egg, and close it up with the other piece of bread.
Cook your sandwich in the pan for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Since youve just used the pan to cook the egg, it might cook a little faster, so keep an eye on it to avoid burning. If the bread isnt quite golden brown enough, keep flipping and cook for another minute or two on each side.
I find that 8-10 minutes is usually how long it takes to cook a grilled cheese sandwich. You want the bread to be crispy and golden brown, and the cheese to be nicely melted and gooey so it holds in the other ingredients.
